African Development Bank (AfDB)
How Civil Society Organizations help to boost economic development and inclusive growth in Africa?

The African Development Bank (AfDB) believes that engaging with Civil Society will help to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. Indeed, working from the ground ensure that the needs of the population are embedded in the development solutions.  However, it is a puzzle to identify the best channels to use the CSO inputs. To solve this puzzle, the AfDB, through its Civil Society and Community Engagement Division, decided to study and identify channels through which, CSO can boost economic development in Africa. With the technical assistance of DS Institute, the AfDB launches an operational research study to assess how the engagement of Civil Society can help boost economic development in developing countries in Africa. This research, scheduled to be completed by December 2020, will provide guidelines to the Bank to engage the CSO in a more efficient development practice.
